چکیده
The geochemical behavior of the major, minor, trace and rare earths elements (REEs) in soil profiles from ultramafic volcanoclastic rocks Vulcão do Paredão Morro Vermelho Formation Trindade Island (TI) was analyzed this study. Losses gains chemical were calculated through mass balance for two along slope: one located at higher altitude (460 m) other lower (258 m). In all profiles, Al, Fe Ti accumulate due to their low mobility, whereas Ca, Na, K Mg are most intensely leached. Soils show values surface contribution saline sprays. Leaching REEs slope led enrichment these elements, especially light REEs, lowest high profile showed Ce positive anomaly longer exposure weathering. shows a relative Ti, Mn, Fe, Co, Cr, Ni, V, Zr, S related loss mobile during formation process, despite youthful nature volcanic rocks.

متن کاملPempheris gasparinii, a new species of sweeper fish from Trindade Island, southwestern Atlantic (Teleostei, Pempheridae)
Pempheris gasparinii sp. n. is described from five specimens, 59.1-68.0 mm in standard length. It is only known to occur in the shallow reefs of Trindade Island, 1200 km east of the Brazilian coast, in the southwestern Atlantic. Pempheris gasparinii is the third recognized species of Pempheris in the Atlantic Ocean. This new species is morphologically similar to its close relative, Pempheris po...
متن کاملAbstract—Petrology and geochemical characteristics of granitic rocks from South Sulawesi, especially from Polewaliand Masamba
Petrology and geochemical characteristics of granitic rocks from South Sulawesi, especially from Polewaliand Masamba area are presented in order to elucidate their origin of magma and geodynamic setting. The granitic rocks in these areas are dominated by granodiorite and granite in composition. Quartz, K-feldspar and plagioclase occur as major phases with hornblende and biotite as major ferroma...

Background: The activity concentrations of some radionuclides in soil samples collected from 20 locations in 8 major towns in Oyo State, Southwestern Nigeria have been determined by gamma-ray spectrometry technique. Materials and Methods: The activity concentrations were determined using high-purity germanium (HPGe) detector (Canberra Industries Inc.). The outdoor absorbed dose rates in air at ...
متن کاملPetrological and geodynamical constraints of Chaldoran basaltic rocks, NW of Iran: evidence from geochemical characteristics
Chaldoran area in NW of Iran has Mesozoic oceanic crust basement. The studied rocks of this region can be divided into three groups: ophiolitic gabbros and pillow lavas, ophiolitic volcanoclastics and Eocene lava flows. Ophiolitic mafic rocks show continental volcanic arc natures and Eocene lava flow shows OIB-like nature. During the Mesozoic, the Chaldoran region was situated in the active cont...
